- Complete any necessary plumbing before installing AmeriWall™.
- AmeriWall™ bath and shower enclosure walls should be installed over building code approved sheetrock or solid surface wallboard materials. Your wallboard material should not overlap the vertical mounting flange of your bathtub or shower pan.

Suggested tools
- Jigsaw or hand saw with fine-tooth blade.
- Hole saw or drill.
- Utility knife.
- Compatible construction-grade adhesive, 9 to 10 tubes.
- Silicone caulk, 1 to 2 tubes.
- Acrylic latex caulk, 1 tube.
Installation Instructions
| 1. |
a) Carefully measure and drill holes in the panel that will accommodate the shower head and mixing valve leads. Be sure that the depth of the valve is correct insuring a proper fit for the trim.
b) The plumbing should protrude through the panel when it is put in position.
|
|
|
| 2. |

a) Before applying adhesive, dry-fit all panels on the tub or shower base to insure a good fit.
If your installation includes a window kit, please refer to our window kit installation instructions.
b) If you need to trim the back panel to fit, trim only the side edge without the channel. (The back panel of the TG series cannot be trimmed.)
c) If required, notch the simulated bull nose coping at the left side of the back panel 1/4” to 3/8”, or as required to fit the upper right hand corner contour of the left side panel.

| 3. |
Apply adhesive to first panel
a) Apply silicone caulk along the shelf and vertical mounting flange of the tub or shower base where the AmeriWall™ panels will rest. Caulk should be applied only as each panel is installed because it starts to set quickly.
b) Apply a wide bead of construction-grade adhesive to the back of the first panel along the raised horizontal and vertical flat rails.
c) Apply additional construction-grade adhesive in an X pattern to wallboard behind the panel.
|
|
|
| 4. |
Install first panel
a) Install the side panel with the interlocking edge channel first (usually, the left side panel).
b) Place the panel in position. Apply pressure top to bottom to the complete surface to insure good overall contact.
c) Pull the panel away from the wall to allow the adhesive to de-gas and become tacky.
d) Reset the wall by applying pressure to the entire surface.
|
|
|
| 5. |
Apply adhesive for next panel - repeat steps 3a, 3b, 3c, 4b, 4c and 4d
a) Apply a bead of silicone down the channeled edge of the installed panel prior to placing the next panel in the interlocking joint.
b) Place the next panel in the interlocking joint.
|
|
|
| 6. |
Apply adhesive and install remaining panel by repeating 3a, 3b, 3c, 4b, 4c and 4d
|
|
|
| 7. |
Trim the feet
a. Trim the supplied leg kit to fit the height and contour of the tub and mount with construction-grade adhesive. |
|
|
| 8. |
Caulk all seams
a) Apply a finishing bead of silicone caulk to the vertical and horizontal inside seams, where the panels are joined and meet the tub.
b) Apply acrylic latex caulk to all outside perimeter seams, both the edges of the walls and the top.

Liquid adhesives, like the construction-grade adhesive and caulks you are using to install AmeriWall products, tend to be very flammable. When using liquid adhesives for installing AmeriWall products, be sure to follow the manufacturer’s instructions and warnings.
Acrylic cleaning instructions: Wash with mild soap/detergent and lukewarm water, using a clean cloth or sponge. Rinse well and blot dry with a damp cloth or chamois. For stubborn stains or scuff marks, use Gel Gloss, an excellent one-step cleaner and polishing product, or any other acrylic friendly cleaning products available at most local hardware stores. For Soap Scum, use any acrylic friendly soap scum remover that should also be available at most hardware stores.
Abrasive cleaners: Never use abrasive cleaners, strong household cleaners, window cleaning fluids, scouring compounds, gritty cloths or solvents on AmeriWall™ surfaces.
